these tickets arrived in our mailbox last friday the 31st. along with it was a letter that said,

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.

My victory and honor come from God alone.

He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

O my people, trust in him at all times.

Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

This gift is given in Grace

then i noticed the last piece of the letter. two money grams for a $1000 each. to this point i had not cried yet. i generally don't cry when extremely happy and that of course is what i was after seeing David's sweet face. but this was unexpected and more generous than my heart could handle. i wept!!! i moved to the carpet and knelt before God!!!! through tears i prayed something like this, Lord, we are unworthy of such an extravagant gift [david] and now you bless us with this [money for plane tickets]?! i am overwhelmed at your love for me. help me be the mother that you desire. to the unknown giver - thank you for hearing God, loving our son who waits for us and giving joyfully. we pray that God continues to make you more like him in every way.

then, on saturday [after many missed deliveries] these arrived. this is an african violet and it was sent from two very special people - mom and dad butler. we love you both!
