dreaming
casey has not returned from work yet and i have completed the "have to's" for tomorrow so i am cross referencing my packing list with another one i just received and dreaming of the amazing trip that is coming. i wish i could post the picture of david that i keep looking at as i try and guess how many diapers/bottles/outfits we will need to bring. soon, very soon we can show him off. the 30th is right around the corner.

I remember in one of your posts you were wondering where you'd change a baby on an airplane. What we do, is lay her across our laps (on top of a blanket) and change her right there. If it is a "stinky", we go to the bathroom, where there is a really tiny fold-down changing table. Definitely bring some disinfecting wipes for it if you have to use it. In fact, bring disinfecting wipes for where you sit, too- he'll love to be reaching for the fold-down table, etc... it helps to just go ahead and wipe down every hard surface as soon as you get to your seats. Just my $.02. You've probably already thought about that, anyway. :) OH MY GOSH, I'm so excited for you!!! We're hoping to be at Sunnybrook the Sunday before Thanksgiving. If you are one a big plane (gosh, I hope so, crossing the Atlantic), then the bathroom in the middle section is usually the handicapped unit. It is a lot larger with more room to manuever. Hopefully he is still too little to be too squirmy.
Oh. And thoey sell deodorized plastic bags for dirty diapers, Sassy brand, I think. (They look just like the kind you buy for picking up after dogs on a walk.) Walmart should have them. They are super handy to have while traveling, both for diapers and in case you get an outfit totally soaked. The baby powder scent is much better than the alternative and they really do cover up a lot. Plus, I don't feel as bad leaving dirty diapers in public trash cans.
