it is 4 pm here in ethiopia and we are preparing to close our eyes for a few minutes while david sleeps. no one got much sleep last night which made for a long evening and a really long day. there has been lots of progress in the last few days with david though:
1. instead of running away from dad he actually reaches for him
2. he feels comfortable enough to wonder around our little apartment
3. we don't have to carry him absolutely everywhere so he's walking with us a little more
4. he laughs and giggles lots now
we are definitely ready to come home but are quite nervous about the plane ride home. 14 hours from dubai to houston seems like a really looong time. can't wait to see everyone. we will get our trip posted as soon as we can. the internet has not been as consistent as we would have liked but what can we say, we are in ethiopia.
