home again

i love getting to go back to unionville for a week each christmas but it always feels good to be back home. i can sleep in my own bed, sit in silence if i want and the biggest one... david sleeps better. although he has still gotten up once each night that is progress from our 4 or 5 times each night in unionville.

since coming home i have noticed a few changes in david -
1. he no longer eats anything. zero vegetables for him. he likes bananas, apples, crasins, peanut butter sandwiches, yogurt, meat [chicken and a little beef for now] and cheerios. that's it! so, now it's a challenge - welcome to parenthood.
2. after watching his cousins Cayden and Jude feed themselves [both 5 months older than he is] he decided he wants to as well. so i let him do the yogurt by himself and he actually did pretty good.
3. he has started mimicking almost anything we do. last night he growled and flexed his muscles and this morning we was raising his hands in worship while we listened to some music.

oh how i love this little boy -

listening to an african children's choir brought out the praise

growling at mom

tired and needing my dad

how can you get upset at such a cute face

cleaning out nana's tupperware drawer

feeding myself
