butler family adventures: sweet kisses

casey and i are pretty sure david's number one or two love language will be physical touch. funny because that is at almost the very bottom of both of our lists. david loves to be held, kissed, and if he feels it has been too long he will come give you a little pat of some kind. he has been a kisser since we first met him. i don't know who he learned it from but he is actually pretty good. normally, kids his age slobber all over you in an attempt to kiss you with their mouths wide open. not david, he even has the smooching sound somewhat figured out.

i have tried to document when he likes to give kisses and thought i would share:
i get a kiss first thing of a morning - as soon as i pick him up i give him a kiss and he returns the gesture along with a big neck hug.

we get kisses at meals - in the middle of eating he will pucker up those cute little lips and give the mmm sound meaning i want a kiss. he really likes to do it when i have left my seat beside him to go get something. i think he likes the idea that i will run from the kitchen to give that sweet little boy a kiss.

we get kisses after he has gotten in trouble - he hates to be "punished". if i even talk sternly to him he cries and gives a kiss in repentance.

when i tell him no but he wants to do it anyway - now this is a new one that just started this week. if i tell him he can't climb on ty, our dog, he walks over to me and gives me a kiss then walks back over to ty. the funny part is that he won't do the action but wait for me to say yes or no again. smart little stinker!

it is amazing how much i enjoy those sweet kisses! i am trying to soak it in as i have no idea how long it will last.
