travel buddies

we have just passed our one year mark for bereket officially becoming a butler [post on that later] and are closing in on our one year mark of traveling to bring him home. so of course my mind is full of memories and emotions right now. bringing david home was the greatest joy of the trip clearly but meeting our travel buddies was incredible. it was a small group - two other couples and a single mother. all of us adopting children at different ages, some of us bringing home our first child, others their second and fourth. although we have not been able to stay in touch as much as we would like we have a special connection.

we are excited that one of the couples we traveled with have already started their next adoptions [yes more than one child will be coming home this time] and have even met one of them. what an amazing story God is telling through them. casey and i have half jokingly/half frustrated talked about how this would be a family that could easily bring 10 kids home from ethiopia if the process wasn't so expensive and timely. but i know that they will bring home as many as God calls them to. God will provide a way for it to work. we love them and are praying for them each day.

travel buddies - we think of you constantly and are praying for all of you. God truly blessed us when we met you in ethiopia.
