a year already

yep, one year ago we were traveling home from ethiopia with our first child - david. we were physically tired, emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, and a bit scared. fast forward and we are physically tired, some days emotionally exhausted, and a bit scared. we have learned a lot about david, ourselves and God in the last year. what a fun year.

i am happy to say that david is completely adjusted to life with us now. it is amazing to think back to the first six months and how timid and unsure he was. now, we are fearless and a ball of energy. our baby has quickly become a little boy.

david - you bring us more joy than we could have imagined. God has given you so many amazing qualities that we pray He continues to develop in you. mommy's favorite is your love for people. you are sad when someone is crying and yet rejoice when someone is happy. trust your heavenly father and forgive your mom and dad when we fall short. we love you!
