we still had not received our immigration approval so our good friend amber shot them a quick email. the response email left us wondering what in the world was going on. they said they were a little behind in getting things out. so we waited some more, not knowing when they would "catch up".

some very dear friends gave us a check for $1000. it was yet another moment when God wrapped His arms around us and whispered - i love you and i know you are hurting but hold on.
thursday, february 12th
we found out that the Smith family had received there approval just two weeks after getting fingerprinted. it felt like a punch in the gut. how was that possible? i couldn't even finish reading their blog posting. thankfully i was working at the church that afternoon and could run to friends for comfort and support. the best part was they knew that hugs and an "i/we can fix it attitude" was not what i needed. they felt my pain and only offered their love. thank you julie, kylie and jim for loving us.
friday, february 13th
OUR APPROVAL CAME!!!!!! yes, it was sitting in our mailbox just waiting for us. i called casey in tears and then every family member and friend that would answer their phones. i made the flying trip to Oklahoma City to get everything authenticated so that saturday morning i could fedex everything to virgina. it was an emotional day to say the least.
friday and saturday
we spent our evenings and afternoon with a total of 25 kids. it was crazy and hectic and very exhausting but worth every minute. all the kids were amazing and we were able to raise another $630.
