clearly, our wait has been nothing like the wait for Abraham but i can't help to think about Hebrews 6:15 - "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised."
we just received an email from AWAA telling us that we are officially on deck which means we should be receiving our referral within the next one to three months. as the staff from sunnybrook can attest, i am jumping with joy. we are one step closer to bringing David home. what an incredible God we praise. three years ago in october God planted a seed of adoption in my heart while visiting Ethiopia. two years ago in october Casey and i began praying about adopting. one year ago in october the Smith family [close friends] decided they were going to adopt a child from Rwanda. so, i'm thinking October would be a pretty cool time to travel back to Ethiopia to pick up our son.
