moving again

we received confirmation that the courts were open yesterday and things are moving again. here is part of the email we received yesterday...

"We are moving forward to work with the court in order to receive court dates for all families. Please be prepared that it is not uncommon for the court to issue court dates out of order from referral timeframes. Rest assured we will be doing everything we can to get all families a court date as quickly as possible.

I am hopeful to have confirmed court dates for all referral families in the next three to four weeks or possibly sooner. I will email your family as soon as I have received your confirmed court date."

today i opened my email to see post after post of other families receiving their court dates. i was so excited - we are moving again and our children are coming home. after reading in anna's last email that it would be hopefully three to four weeks to confirm dates i was content with things moving and then...

we got another email saying our court date is October 15th. Yes, i said October 15th which is tomorrow! my heart and stomach are flipping at the moment! america world will be contacting us as soon as they hear word from ethiopia about our case. just a reminder - only 50% of the cases pass the first time so we aren't packing our bags just yet. although i do have quite the excel sheet ready and waiting to be put to use.

praise the one who gives life to all things!

Congratulations! Best wishes for tomorrow.
Whether you are in the first-try approval group or not, we'll be praying the timing is perfect. And that you don't jump out of your skin everytime the phone rings in anticipation.
We look forward to seeing pictures of David in your arms soon!

Are you still using America World adoption agency? What are your thoughts about them? We are thinking about adopting a sibling set from Ethiopia through them...would be interested to hear your feedback. Thanks.
