casey and i are still tired and going to bed around 9 pm [shortly after david] but the last two days have been amazing. david and i are finding a decent rhythm for our days. it has been a little weird being home all day but i am loving spending so much time with david. i think he has a lot of me in his personality. yesterday he decided he wanted to play with the football and basketball at the same time but couldn't figure out how to pick both of them up. so i jumped in and handed them both to him thinking that might solve the dilemma. NOPE. he did not need or want my assistance, he wanted to do it on his own and fought with it until he got them both in his arms. can anyone say stubborn and independent?
casey and i will be going/staying in for our first date night tomorrow evening. uncle kyle will be watching our little guy for an hour or two so we can spend a little time together. i know there is a long list of people that want to babysit david, but uncle kyle is first in line. we will keep you posted for future date nights if you want to be on the list.
