butler family adventures: father's day

david and i have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating casey today. casey and i learned a long time ago that receiving gifts is not how he feels loved. actually, i think gifts is at the very bottom of his list of love languages so, no gifts. what do we do to celebrate an amazing father...we cook of course. david and i got up early to shop for the items needed. i thought about buying them early but casey would have figured it out and thus ruined our surprise. we made biscuits and gravy and that only happens about once a year. i choose not to make food that can clog my husbands arteries very often but this was a special occasion and it is one of his favorites.
