frogs, lizards, bugs oh my
this is not an uncommon picture of david nowadays. we spend a good amount of our day exploring God's creation. i will be honest this is one of the reasons casey and i asked for a little boy. i'm not saying that girls don't like to hunt frogs, turtles or bugs but the likelihood is slimmer. so far we have frightened a unsuspecting turtle which david still talks about, hunted down three frogs in our yard, followed countless bugs both inside and outside, and we have learned to climb the tree in the backyard without shoes. the only reptile we encountered that david didn't like was the lizard that found its way into our house. instead of the normal excitement of trying to catch the new "toy" i was faced with a child in fear. not only was he screaming, he was trying to climb on my head as quickly as possible. so with a frightened child and a lizard freaking out in my house i had to act fast. thankfully the lizard ran for the door when david started screaming so all i had to do was open it and throw him out. it was a crazy 5 minutes. welcome to summer!
