a new year does set my mind a rolling though. what did i do in 2010 - what do i want to do differently in 2011? casey and i will look at our finances to set goals on giving, paying down student loans and do we even dare to think about college for our kids. casey and i will be praying over where God would like us to go this year. our church has many missions opportunities and trust that God will send one or both of us to one or more of them.
but the big thing for 2011 is the new addition to the butler family. david will become a big brother at the end of april/first of may. yep, we are pregnant. clearly we have known for a while but i have waited to post it. partly because i have a love/hate relationship with social media. i would rather tell my family and friends face to face than send out a generic post on blogger or facebook. i guess i'm old fashioned it seems. another part of me has wanted to hold onto david being an only child for as long as possible. we have only been home a year and most days i'm still trying to figure out how to be a parent to one child. but number two is coming [and it's a boy!] and we need to start planning. we have spent this weekend in phase 1 of room prep. it has included getting david a big boy bed [thanks davis family] and transforming my workout room into the baby's new room.
