we received our new appointment date from USCIS which is awesome! it is near the end of September which works out great! we were hoping that they wouldn't "punish" us for having to reschedule. our new date is only two weeks later than our original, so we praise God for a speedy turnaround.
moving on - for those of you that are wives and mothers to little boys i would encourage you to listen/watch a sermon from Lisa Chan, wife of Francis Chan. she actually doesn't start speaking until about 22 minutes into the video so you might want to fast forward. i just listened to this sermon while walking our dog yesterday and it has just stuck with me. the main verse she teaches from is Ephesians 5.22-24 "For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything."
i'm sure you don't have this problem, but i struggle submitting to Casey [fill in your husband here]! it isn't because Casey isn't deserving - God has given me an incredible husband! The truth is, i struggle submitting to the perfect and holy GOD so it's really no surprise that i can't seem to get it right with a sinful man!
