saturday was spent doing crafts which casey and i neither one are good at but david loved. we opened up the easter baskets that of course had candy, david really loved that. thank you nana for the mini m&m's so far they have been the favorite.
one of my greatest joys in the last couple of weeks has been praying as a family. david is starting to pick up on it which is really cute. at dinner he will hold our hands and sit very quietly to listen. his big brown eyes try and take it all in. but bedtime is the best. we all go into his bedroom - david gets in bed and casey and i kneel beside him. casey will pray and then i will pray and david just listens. when we are done he softly rubs his chest asking us to please pray again. how could we say no? so we do a couple more short prayers and then tell him night-night. well, now he has learned to say, "one more?" which is the sweetest thing i've ever heard so we say a another prayer. i think he could listen to us pray all night long. eventually we just have to say, "you can talk with God". he will even do it randomly in a day. thursday of last week we were doing some work at the church and he was having a little moment. i stopped the work and sat him on my lap to comfort him a little. we just sat there in silence for a moment when he asked, "pray?" - i almost cried. he has the sweetest little heart!
