funny things are everywhere

our sweet boy is incredibly relational. he thrives with a group of people whether it is kids his age, older children or just us boring adults. but i think his favorite thing to do is talk. he talks and talks and talks some more. although i'm not fully an introvert, i lean more that way than extroverted. so there are days when i am completely exhausted from just talking for what feels like the whole day. his sentence structure continues to improve but he does say some really funny things. here is a small glimpse into our daily conversations.

david - "i love you one, mommy!" mommy - "i love you too/two, sweet boy!"

mommy - "what should we do with baby brother when he gets here?" david - "eat him!"

david - "mommy sits to pee-pee but daddy stands?!"

david - "mommy a boy or girl?"

david - "why, why, why?"

david - "my eyes can't find it!"

mommy [woken in the middle of the night] - "do you need something?" david - "nothing!" [with a smile of course] mommy - "then why are you out of bed?" david - "i forgot!"

mommy - "who loves you the most?" david - "God, baby Jesus and Jesus!" [i haven't started with the Holy Spirit yet]

david - "PLEASE" mommy - "thank you for asking nicely but no." david - "PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE" mommy - "again, thank you for using your kind words but when mom says no the answer is no! and PLEASE is not a magic word!"

david - "i don't know go ask your pop!" - we now quote books throughout the day this one is from Dr. Seuss of course

oh, he makes us laugh!
