After months of silence it seems only fitting to share awesome news. Our official DTE is today [8.16.13]. For those that have not gone through an adoption those three beautiful letters stand for DOSSIER TO ETHIOPIA!!!! Our paperwork is complete, we have passed all final reviews and can finally begin the "waiting phase". It seems funny that the last phase is called the waiting phase since it feels like we are waiting through the adoption journey. But we will celebrate the little and big things such as this, for we are closer today than we where yesterday to bringing our son home. What's next you ask? Well, our team will meet this fall to plan out another fundraiser. Our growing family will continue to worship God together and eagerly await the arrival of #3. Trends continue to show that it will take 2-2.5 years before we get our referral [moment we meet our son via email]. So if our family comes to mind you can always be in prayer for our patience and contentment while we wait for #3 to come home. I will say, that this time around we have lots more distractions to keep us busy while we wait. Our first adoption was also our first child so we had looooots more time to wonder when the phone would ring. Again, celebrate the small things!
